Dr. Erna Busch-Devereaux is a board-certified breast surgeon who combines technical skill with compassionate care to help women dealing with breast cancer feel at ease. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Busch-Devereaux excels at making patients comfortable. She thoroughly explains the available options and helps each woman build a treatment plan that’s right for them.

Throughout her career, Dr. Busch-Devereaux has pushed into innovative new terrain. She was an early adopter of nipple-sparing mastectomy techniques, which are now widely used to provide patients the best aesthetic outcomes. She specializes in alternatives to surgical biopsies such as wire-free and implanted seed biopsies, as a way to improve the patient experience.

Under her leadership at Huntington Hospital, where Dr. Busch-Devereaux serves as the Chief of Breast Surgery, the hospital was certified by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancers. To receive this certification, a breast center must demonstrate the highest levels of quality measures and programs that improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Busch-Deveraux shares her experiences and expertise with young physicians-in-training as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

"I have yet to meet a more wonderful, knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. I fully trust her with my care and highly recommend her to anyone seeking a breast surgeon."
