Dr. Susan Lee knows that patients feel most comfortable when they understand their circumstances. She takes the time to make sure every patient knows the details about their condition, their treatment options, and what to expect next. Her goal is to make a difficult situation as easy as possible, and she cares deeply about each and every woman she treats. Dr. Lee is board-certified and specializes in oncologic breast surgery as well as surgery for benign breast conditions such as fibroadenomas and breast high risk lesions. She also operates a high-risk program for women who have a higher likelihood of developing breast cancer over their lifetimes.

Dr. Lee comes from a family of physicians, and her parents, an OB-GYN and internal medicine specialist, influenced her own career path. She values the intimate setting of her practice, where she’s able to deliver personalized care while providing access to all the resources of the Northwell Health system.

Dr. Lee is fluent in Korean.

Dr. Lee’s primary hospital is Peconic Bay Medical Center, where she serves as Chief of Breast Surgery. Dr. Lee is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and is a member of the Northwell Health Academic Affairs Committee.

She is also a member of the American College of Surgeons and serves on the Education and Accreditation Committee and is the Vice Chair of Membership for the International Relations Committee.
