Dr. Neil Tanna helps women transform their lives by restoring their form. Board-certified in plastic surgery, Dr. Tanna is an expert in microsurgery and reconstructive surgery; he is also an innovator in the field of breast reconstruction.

Dr. Tanna’s collaborative approach offers patients technologically advanced solutions and the best possible clinical outcomes. He strives to produce individualized, natural, and long-lasting results that match a patient’s desires and preferences.

A devotee of innovation, Dr. Tanna is dedicated to developing new techniques and methods for breast reconstructive surgery. He was on the team that successfully executed the first robotic mastectomy, in 2018, a procedure which has the potential to revolutionize the field of reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Tanna knows that spending time with patients is the best way to fully understand their goals and concerns, and he is committed to making each woman feel like she is the most important patient in the practice. His sense of humor and positive outlook help many women find hope during a challenging time in their lives.

Dr. Tanna is the Associate Program Director of Plastic Surgery at Northwell Health and the Vice President of Women’s Surgical Services at Glen Cove Hospital. He is also the Medical Director of Syosset Surgi Center. He serves as a Professor of Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

In addition to seeing patient at the Friedman Center, Dr. Tanna also sees patients in Manhattan at 130 East 77th Street, 10th floor.

Katherine Beam

Katherine (Katie) has been working with Dr. Tanna since 2017, caring for patients before, during, and after surgery. She is an excellent patient resource and strives to provide patients with optimal experiences as well as excellent outcomes. Katie believes strong relationships are based on communication and makes herself available to speak with patients whenever possible. She is an avid runner and yogi.

Dominique is our Surgical & Patient Coordinator and an integral part of the team that strives to provide an exceptional patient experience. Having previously worked as a medical assistant, Dominique’s healthcare experience has prepared her to support women as they navigate through various aspects of their surgical journeys. Her compassion, positive attitude, and optimism make her an indispensable member of Dr. Tanna’s team. Dominique works tirelessly to provide patients with personalized attention to make sure all of their needs are met. From scheduling appointments to coordination of surgeries, Dominique goes above and beyond to find creative ways to accommodate all patients. She works closely with Dr. Tanna and the entire clinical team to ensure patients and their families feel connected at all times. Her commitment to each patient makes her an invaluable asset to the team.
